Kindergarten is hard work. Aliyah came home from school on her second day and crashed on the couch. She was up late the night before for her first night at Daisies. Elyse is now a Rainbow. They grow up too fast. I have a feeling this won't be the last nap for Aliyah as she adjusts to her all day schedule. When I told her next week there will be five days of school she looked at me very surprised. I don't think she realized what a normal school week will be. She's excited to start her Show and Tell on Monday.

After Aliyah's first day of school. I picked her up and brought her straight to Daddy's office so she could share her day with us. She showed us the pictures she drew to go with her writing. She drew herself swinging and wrote we hd fun. She's so smart. She really enjoyed recess and playing with Amy and Garret. She later told us that she switched her seat at the end of the day. Edwin later spoke with Mrs. Durham and said that Aliyah really did move her name and now knows she shouldn't do that anymore. Ms. Tamali (recess duty and member of Sound Life) said that Aliyah is Barbara Walters at recess and spares no details. She is getting used to kindergarted quickly.

It's hard to believe Aliyah's first day of kindergarten is already here. She was looking forward to her first day and ready to find out more about the teddy bear she will someday be able to take home for a weekend in Mrs. Durham's class.

Aliyah was very brave. She had no problem saying goodbye. She found her name quickly and was ready to start her day.

Feeding the Fowls

On September 5th we went to feed the ducks at a park in downtown Puyallup. My mom said we used to go there as kids. The girls were having fun feeding the ducks and geese when mom went to get a better photo angle on a dock. On the dock she found a sign that said "Don't feed the fowls". Oops, too late. We went to the park to enjoy Aliyah's last day of summer before school.

We went over to Charlie and Becky's to roast marshmellows last week. The girls had a great time while Lael gave them horsie-back rides. We have enjoyed Becky's new twist to smores. Reeses Peaunut Butter cups add great flavor to them. Try it. It's delicious.

Edwin, my dad, and Aliyah went to the Rainier's game with our church. It was the night before my school started so I stayed home with Elyse. Edwin reluctantly took the camera. I'm so glad he did. These memories need to be captured. (Especially since I didn't go)
